At Our Last Meeting
July 25 at 9:00 am Jane Meyers
Everyone knows a higher vibration is a good thing, but how can we best raise our vibration? One easy, playful, communal way is through laughter. It is a well known fact that laughter is good for you. It counteracts the negative effects of stress, makes for a more open creative mind, and connects people in positive ways...just to name a few benefits. Unfortunately, as we grow up, we laugh much less than we did as children, and many days go by when we don’t laugh at all. Laughter Yoga is a program based on the scientific fact that the brain can’t distinguish between genuine laughter and fake laughter and that we can plan for laughter instead of leaving it to chance by participating with childlike playfulness in exercises designed to prompt laughter.
Laughter leader Jane Meyers did a laughter yoga presentation in May that was so popular we’ve invited her back to get us laughing again. This experience can range from fun to profound. One gentleman at the last service confided that he was skeptical at the beginning. He didn’t feel like laughing because of a huge personal loss that had just happened. He cooperated though and was surprised to discover that he felt better and could begin to imagine thinking positively despite the unchanged situation he was in. Come to this service prepared to release the serious grip that life’s conditions may have on you, lighten your load and lift your spirit.

Jane Meyers has been serving the Central Oregon community for 17 years as a speaker, author, minister and practitioner, offering counseling, hypnotherapy and soul readings. Jane’s spirit of peace, joy and love is contagious.

September 26 at 9:00 am Terri Daniel
What Happens When We die?
This presentation explores the myths and misconceptions that have created a fear of death in our culture, and offers an extraordinary metaphysical perspective on the dying and grieving process. By understanding that death is neither an enemy nor an ending and that there is no judgment anywhere in the universe, we can release our fear-based notions of punishment rather than correction, judgment rather than support, and an eternity of idleness rather than limitless opportunity for growth.

Terri Daniel is a minister, hospice worker, author and meditation teacher who has facilitated workshops on spiritual development, study, and practice since 1997. In addition to conducting a monthly metaphysical study group in Sisters, Terri travels the country teaching about conscious death and conscious grieving. Her latest book, "A SWAN IN HEAVEN: CONVERSATIONS BETWEEN TWO WORLDS," is based on after-death dialogs between Terri and her son, who left the physical plane in 2006. Her new book, "THE ILLUSION OF DEATH," examines cultural myths about the afterlife and offers a path to alternative perceptions via meditation and visualization.
Terri also conducts ceremonies and rites of passage for personal milestones that include weddings, memorials, house blessings, baby welcomings, same-sex commitments, midlife rituals and seasonal celebrations.
